IXPE Foam

IXPE (Electron Beam Cross-linked Polyethylene Foam), a high-tech closed-cell foam material, is made by mixing polyethylene (PE) as the main raw material with harmless auxiliary materials, extruding into shape, and then forming a network of independent closed cells through electron beam irradiation cross-linking technology. It features a smooth surface, comfortable tactile feel, excellent processability, and fine uniform cell structure. As a functional material compliant with international environmental standards, IXPE offers multiple advantages including sound insulation, thermal insulation, low water absorption, high resilience, weather resistance, anti-aging, anti-mildew, and strong chemical corrosion resistance.

  1. Eco-Friendly & Non-Toxic
Modified via electron beam irradiation cross-linking without additives, heat generation, or chemical residues.100% recyclable and reusable for oil refining, aligning with circular economy principles.
  2. Moisture-Proof & Antimicrobial
Independent closed-cell structure effectively blocks water penetration, with a water absorption rate as low as <0.01g/C㎡ (virtually zero).Irradiation treatment eliminates microbial habitats, making it suitable for humid or hygiene-sensitive environments.
  3. Sound & Vibration Damping
Closed-cell structure provides excellent acoustic damping to reduce noise transmission.High resilience and impact resistance, with permanent compression set controlled below 5%.
  4. Thermal Insulation
Extremely low thermal conductivity (<0.04W/m·K) effectively blocks heat or cold transfer through the material surface or air interaction, minimizing energy loss.
  5. Corrosion & Aging Resistance
The dense structure of polyethylene, enhanced by irradiation cross-linking, delivers strong corrosion resistance and extends service life by over 80%.
  6. Easy Processability
Smooth surface, uniform cell structure, and flexibility enable seamless secondary processing, including lamination, pasting, cutting, thermoforming, and more.
